Screeching Weasel - First Day of Summer
I’ve run into a lot of pop punk on random blogs and things friends uploaded today and was reminded of how much I love Screeching Weasel. There’s a line in one of their songs, Cool Kids, that talks about how the cool kids at school “will laugh at the Toughskins your mom bought you at Sears”, which reminds me of my elementary school insecurities and the Husky jeans I wore.
This song is a good get-your-morning-started Summer anthem. I’m going to run 30 miles to the beach now.
